John Edward Kirkman, 72, of McGehee, passed away on February 16, 2015 in McGehee.
He was born on August 5, 1942 in Morehead City, North Carolina to the late Jesse Gray and Lillie Mae Marks Kirkman. He was an electrician for 50 years.
Mr. Kirkman loved to work in his garden and enjoyed going to flea markets. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Grace King Kirkman and his sister, Mary Emma Mobley.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Mobley Kirkman; his sons, Michael Kirkman of North Carolina, David Keilman of Cedar Lake, Indiana, Daniel Keilman of Crownpoint, Indiana, and Damon Keilman of Crownpoint, Indiana; his daughters, Johnna Fuller of McArthur, Michaella Rauwolf of Blaine, Washington, and Cheryl Letcher of Texarkana, Texas; his brothers, Walter Kirkman of Little Rock, and William Kirkman of Nokima, Florida; his sister, Jesse Ruth Duncan of North Carolina; and 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on February 18 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Funeral services will be held on February 19 at 1 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service Chapel in McGehee with Rev. Steve Fleming officiating. Burial will be at McArthur Cemetery.
