John Rodney Grassi, 67, of Lake Village, died on October 10, 2018 at UAMS in Little Rock.
He was a service tech for IBM and spent many years working as a butcher for his father at Johnny’s Food Bank. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, hunting, picking up pecans, and tinkering. He was a handy man who enjoyed carpentry and could fix anything.
Mr. Grassi was born December 8, 1950 in Lake Village and was the son of the late John Edward and Mary (Menotti) Grassi.
He is survived by two sons, Sean Paul Grassi, of Shreveport, Louisiana, and David Michael Grassi and wife Jaclyn, of Deville, Louisiana; a daughter, Angela Crow and husband Neal of Jerome; a sister, Pat Douglas and husband Larry, of Batesville; a brother, David Lamar Grassi and wife Carol, of Warren; five grandchildren, Nathan and Katherine Crow, Jack, John, and Stella Grassi; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 12 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. with Rosary following at 7 p.m. at the Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 13 at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church, 314 S Lakeshore Drive, Lake Village.
