John Thomas Holland, 64, of Warren, died on May 17, 2017 at his home.
He was the former owner of Holland’s Fish Market and a commercial fisherman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and attended Farmville Baptist Church.
Mr. Holland was born on July 29, 1952, at Jersey.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Garland Holland and Lena Evans Carr; brothers William “Bill” Holland, Don Holland; sisters Evelyn Stubberfield, Peggy Webb; grandson John Robert Latta; a stepdaughter Chasity Young.
Survivors are his “significant other”, Deborah Turnbow of Warren; two daughters, Joy Latta and husband John and Amber Grider and husband Brian of Warren; two sons, John Black and wife Holly of Moore, Oklahoma and William Turnbow of Monroe, Louisiana; three stepdaughters, Tiffany Strickland and husband Tim of Greenville, Mississippi, Kellie Evans and husband Derrick of Bastrop, Louisiana, Brandie Van and husband William of Monroe, Louisiana; two brothers, Carl Holland of Jersey and Ricky Holland of Pine Bluff; his best friend and beloved dog, Angel; 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19 at 2 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Chapel in Warren with Bro. Billy Biggs officiating. Burial will be at Gravelridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Donald Holland, Luke Holland, James Evans, Brandon C. Webb, Babo Wiley, and Kevin Thompson. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Childers, Dr. Joe H. Wharton, Gorman Grider, Anna Grider, Tommy Castleberry, Mable Castleberry, and Bro. Ricky Groves.
