John William “J.W.” Crews, 70, of Hamburg, died January 1, 2014 at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett.
Mr. Crews was a native of Gurdon and a resident of Hamburg for many years. He worked for the Hamburg Shirt Factory for 30 years.
He is preceded in death by an infant son and daughter and his mother, Pearl Crews Hogue.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jean Kellum Crews; a son, Troy Crews both of Hamburg; two brothers, Steve Kelley and Larry Kelley both of Monticello and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held January 4 at 2 p.m. at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Land officiating. Burial will be in the Promise Land Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Marty Baker, Michael Doshier, Wade Doshier, Kenny Leveritt, Chad Leveritt and Bradley Leveritt. Honorary Pallbearers are Rodger Phillips and Tommy Browning.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
