John William Davidson, Jr., 72, of Benton died on December 3, 2016 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton.

Mr. Davidson was born June 9, 1944 in Greenville, Mississippi and was the son of the late John William Davidson, Sr. and the late Ruby (Stanley) Davidson.

He was a civil engineer who loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, photography, coaching baseball, football, and basketball for junior high kids. He was a member of the Tulsa Junior Athletic Association and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Little Rock.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Davidson.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria Marie (Mazzanti) Davidson, of Benton; a son, John William Davidson, III and wife Keyko of Woodbridge, Virginia; a daughter, Karen Davidson of Conway; two brothers, Tom and Charles “Skip” Davidson; a sister, Lisa Kay Davidson; and five grandchildren, Danielle, Melissa, Hailey, Benny, and Jake; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on December 8 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 9 at Our Lady Of The Lake Catholic Church in Lake Village with Father Theo Okpara as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Innocents Cemetery in Lake Village under the direction of Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village.
