Johnnie Lee Cox, 90, of Lake Village died on May 29, 2018 at Chicot Memorial Medical Center.
She loved teaching. She was a school teacher for 43 years, a piano teacher and a Sunday school teacher. She was a charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher Organization of Lake Village and a member of the Delta Shakespeare Study Club.
Mrs. Cox was born on November 7, 1927 in Lamar, Arkansas and was the daughter of the late John M and Amy (Jetton) Haynes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R Cox; brother, Jack Haynes; and sister, Juanita Rinehart.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Ann Cox of Lake Village and Judy Cox Cutchen and husband David of Birmingham, Alabama; a granddaughter, Abigail Brock and husband Bradley; and expecting a great-grandson in October.
Visitation will be held on Friday June 1, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at he Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village. A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 2, at 11 a.m. the Lakeside Methodist Church in Lake Village.
