Juanita Elizabeth Holcomb Fowler, 93, of Star City, passed away on January 13, 2016 at Gardner Nursing Center in Star City.
Mrs Fowler was a member of the Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church where she worked delivering church tapes to shut-ins and was involved in all church activities. She was devoted to her family and her church. She loved to crochet, work crossword puzzles, call the hogs and attend church.
She was born at Sherman, Texas on August 21, 1922 to the late Johnnie Franklin and Ethel Cole Holcomb.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, B. F. Fowler and her granddaughter, Marcia Fowler.
Mrs.Fowler is survived by her sons, Marshall (Vada) Fowler of Mt. Pine, Arkansas; Michael (Vickie) Fowler and Merwin (Ginger) Fowler, both of Star City; daughters, Sandra (Charlie) Armstrong of Dell, Arkansas and Karen (Doug) Halter of Rogers; her grandsons, Benjie Armstrong and Justin Fowler of Star City and Chris Armstrong of Manila; granddaughters, Misty Fowler of Star City, Carrie Cissell of Rogers and Lindsey Weast of Star City; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held January 15 at 10 a.m.at Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. J. C. Patterson officiating. Visitation is January 14 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home in Star City. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Benjie Armstrong, Justin Fowler, Chris Armstrong, Jeff Cissell, Hutch Weast and M. H. Bitely.
