Juanita L. Streeter, 90, of Mineola, Texas, formerly of Lake Village and Heber Springs, died September 13, 2020.

She was born June 19, 1930 in Collins (Drew County) and was the daughter of the late Daniel Leroy Adams and Georgia Strickland Adams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twin sons, Johnnie and Donnie Streeter; two brothers, Harvey and Calvin Adams of Lake Village; two sons-in-law, Cecil Hughes and Tim Baker; and one grandson, Chris Hughes.

She is survived by two daughters, Penny Streeter Whitehurst of Mineola, Texas and Joyce Streeter Hughes Hewitt of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Jeff Hughes (Jessica) of Heber Springs, Ashley Whitehurst Putman (Beau) of Mineola, Texas, Meagan Whitehurst Guardiola (Brandon) of Grapevine, Texas; 10 great-grandchildren, one more expected in April and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other family.

Juanita loved all kinds of flowers and working in her yard was her favorite past time. She truly had a “green thumb”. She loved to spoil her constant companion, her dog, Buster.

Visitation is Saturday, September 19, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Bishop King Funeral Home in Lake Village. Masks are required. Per her wishes, her body will be cremated.

Arrangements are by Bishop King Funeral Home of Lake Village.
