Jude Daniel Netherland, 4, of Crossett, passed away, September 19, 2014 at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born in Bastrop, Louisiana on March 12, 2010 and was the son of Justin “JB” and Fallon Netherland.
Jude loved watching his favorite cartoon, Spongebob Squarepants, Toy Story and Frozen. He also enjoyed playing with his “monkey iphone”, but his favorite toys were his Incredible Hulk and other superhero action figures. Even though he was just four years old, he was well known in the community as our “lil’ superhero” and touched the lives of many.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, “JB” and Fallon Netherland and his big brother, Jace Netherland. He also leaves his grandparents, Jack and Lois Netherland and Daniel and Barbara Hickman all of Crossett; and two great grandmothers, Daisy Norris of Greeneville, Texas and Erceline Baily of Bryan, Texas, along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service will be held September 21 at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 21, at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 912 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive with Bro. Scott Wheeler officiating. A closed casket visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home of Crossett.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Gulledge, Seth Evans, Jim Warren, Josh Hartley, Jeremy Mills, Alan Brewer, Tyler Netherland and Jason Holland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Hickman, Robert Hickman, Jared Hickman, Jack Netherland, Clint Netherland, David Netherland, and Wynn Netherland.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please give donations to the Ronald McDonald House of Little Rock or the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Jude’s honor.
