June Elaine Mozingo Hughes of Crossett passed away on February 17, 2020. She was 75.
She was born in Quitman, Mississippi to Ed and Lois Kennedy Mozingo.
She was retired from First National Bank of Fountain Hill where she worked as the branch manager for fifteen years and was a lifelong charter member at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church where her father was the first preacher.
Her greatest love in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, playing the organ and piano.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Hughes; a sister, Roberta Roberts and three brothers, Wayne, Joe and Howard Mozingo.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy Cockrell (Dee) of Hamburg; two granddaughters, Chaise Hallman (Michael) of Crossett and Jessie Cockrell of Hamburg; two grandsons, Clint Cockrell of north Arkansas and Lance Corporal Kyle Cockrell of North Carolina; one great grandchild, Kaydence Hallman; a sister, Gail Bell of Rison; a sister-in-law, Vera Morgan of Crossett and a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 21, at Egypt Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Culp and Bro. Keith Rose officiating.
Pallbearers are Sammy Cockrell, Mike Cockrell, Devon Lytle, Steven Pike, Ryan Tassin and James Smith. Honorary Pallbearers are Curtis Tolliver (Lightening), Michael Hallman, Lance Corporal Kyle Cockrell, Dee Cockrell, Freddie Joe Hollis and Clint Cockrell. Interment will be at the Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc.
Visitation is Thursday, February 20 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Egypt Missionary Baptist Church.
