June Ruth Whittington Hallman, 81, of Lake Village, passed away on April 9, 2018.

She loved to cook, loved flowers and enjoyed working in her yard. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hallman was born in Eudora on June 10, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Hamp Whittington and Jewell Mitts Whittington.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Delano Hallman; sister, Laverne Stepp; and brothers, Desmond Whittington, Roy Whittington, and Bobby Whittington.

Survivors include her sons, Freddie (Jodie) Hallman of Alexandria, Louisiana and Victor Hallman of Lake Village; daughters, Jewell Parham of Greenwood, Mississippi and Deborah (Joe) Mazzanti of Lake Village; brothers, Troy (Barbara) Whittington of Lake Village and Cecil (Peggy) Whittington of Little Rock; a sister, Maxine DeAngelo of Bedford, Texas; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in Lake Village.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 12, at 1 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in Lake Village with Rev. Ronnie Garrett officiating. Burial will be at Bayou Mason Cemetery in Lake Village.
