A juvenile has been arrested in connection with the Sunday shooting death of a Lincoln County man.

Timothy Foster, 50, of the Garrett Bridge community in Lincoln County was shot Sunday around 10 a.m. when Dylan Scott allegedly entered the home with a rifle and began shooting, according to State Police.

Foster was transported to a Dumas hospital where he later died.

Scott reportedly fled from the residence before sheriff’s deputies arrived. He was taken into custody Sunday night at 8:15 p.m. and is being held in the Lincoln County jail, according to State Police.

Scott, 17, of the Garrett Bridge community, was was charged as an adult with one count of capital murder, according to State Police.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office asked State Police to investigate the case. Special agents of the Arkansas State Police are continuing their investigation and will submit an investigative file to the Lincoln County prosecuting attorney.
