Christopher Darden, Blake Smith and Haley Thompson, the three Saline County juveniles suspected in the Thursday afternoon stabbing of Bobby Strickland in southern Drew County, will be charged as adults, according to 10th Judicial District Prosecutor Thomas Deen.

Darden, 15, Smith, 17, and Thompson, 15, are being held in the Drew County Detention Center on $750,000 bond each for attempted capital murder, aggravated robbery, theft and theft by receiving. They likely will be transferred to another facility due to their age, according to Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober.

According to the last report Gober received from Strickland’s family, Strickland is doing well considering the injuries he sustained.
