Katherine Ann “Pinky” Gardner, 80, of Crossett, passed away on March 28, 2022.
She was born in Crossett on December 30, 1941, to her parents, Andrew, and Lucille Paris Hargraves.
She was a 1960 graduate of Crossett High School and a member of Pine Forest Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from the Hamburg Shirt Factory in 2006 and was able to spend quality time with her beloved grandchildren. Pinky also loved to travel, go to flea markets, and garage sales.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of thirty-four years, Ernie Gardner; a sister, Kaye Jackson; and a great-granddaughter, Karaleah Wilcox.
She leaves behind a daughter, Tammy Hopper (Martin) of Crossett; a sister, Jackie Baker (Doug) of Salem, Indiana; two grandchildren, Allison Wilcox (Johnathan), and Adam Hopper (Damian Rhodes); and two great-grandchildren, Kimberlyn and Johnny Wilcox.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 31 at 2 p.m. at Carlock Cemetery with Bro. Martin Hopper officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the cemetery prior to the service.
