She was the daughter of the late Bernice and Barney A. Bell and was born near Pittsburg, Texas, on March 24, 1923. Her parents brought her to Lincoln County in 1925 and she resided there until her death. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church at Gould where she served for many years as secretary-treasurer of the Ladies’ Auxiliary and church treasurer. She was also a member of the Gideon International Auxiliary and the Grady Lions Club.
