Kathy “Tuck” Tacito Henderson, 54, of McGehee, died February 10, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
She was principal of McGehee Elementary School and formerly was the girls’ basketball coach, track coach, softball coach, tennis coach and cheer coach for the McGehee School District. She also taught driver’s education and served as an umpire and referee.
Mrs. Henderson was a member of First Presbyterian Church of McGehee where she served as elder and taught Sunday School.
She was born July 24, 1959, in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated from Parkin High School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English and Physical Education, and Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Arkansas at Monticello, graduating with honors. She served as president of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority from 1979-1981. She was a member of the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Henderson of McGehee; daughter, Blair Henderson of McGehee; son, Eric and wife Erika Henderson, of North Little Rock; mother, Mary Tacito of Earle; brothers, David Tacito of Marion, Mike Tacito of Earle, and Andy Tacito of West Memphis, AR; sisters Missy Simmons of Manila, AR; Barbie Hodges of Wynne, AR and Denise Stanfield also of Wynne; and a granddaughter, Kensley Tucker Henderson of North Little Rock.
A memorial Service will be held February 13 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in McGehee.
