Katie Harris Elliott was appointed city attorney for Eudora on Monday, replacing Joe Mazzanti who resigned after he was appointed managing public defender of the 10th Judicial District Public Defender’s Office.
Harris-Elliott, of Lake Village, practices law with her father at the Harris Law Firm in Greenville, Mississippi. She is licensed to practice in both Arkansas and Mississippi and has an office in Lake Village.
Harris-Elliott graduated summa cum laude in 2015 from the University of Arkansas, Bowen School of Law in Little Rock where she ranked third in her class of 127.
She is also a licensed master social worker in Arkansas and a certified guardian ad litem in Mississippi. She is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, Mississippi Bar Association – Young Lawers Division, Mississippi Association of Justice, the American Bar Association, and several community organizations.
