Kenneth D. Chapman, 73, of the Beulah Community in Drew County, passed away on June 21, 2016 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello.
He was a retired contractor and was of the Assembly of God faith. He was a hard-working man that loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening and was faithful to his Church.
Mr. Chapman was born on August 29, 1942 in Drew County and was the son of the late Houston Chapman and Velma Daugherty Chapman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Lee McManus Chapman; a brother, Charles Chapman; a sister, Lavoy Place; and a cherished companion, Betty Wallis.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Chapman Taylor of the Beulah Community; a brother, Joe Chapman and wife Inez of the Beulah Community; two grandchildren, Katie Taylor and Cody Taylor both of the Beulah Community; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held on June 24 at 1 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with Rev. Larry Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery. Visitation is June 23 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
