Kenneth L. Weast, 84, of Star City, passed away on January 23, 2020 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
He was born on August 16, 1935 in Pottsville to the late Roy and Edna Satterfield Weast.
Mr. Weast was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Star City. He was a hardworking man that loved to build just about anything and loved to drive his John Deere tractor. He was the retired owner/operator of Weast Construction and was a former Lincoln County constable and deputy sheriff for several years. He loved to fly and was a licensed pilot. But, most of all he loved his family.
Also preceding him in death were five brothers, Huley, Charles, Dooley, Gene and Irvin Weast.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Billie Harris Weast; two daughters, Kim Weast and Shelly Hughes (Scott) McGee; two brothers, Roger Weast and Jerry Weast; sister, Betty Lou Gates, all of Star City; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 26, at 2 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church with Bro. Kyle Hughes and Bro. Don Borland officiating. Visitation is Saturday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Service. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Matthew Hughes, Brian Pickens, Brad Caldwell, Chris Sherrill, Starsky Weast, and Mike Weast. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Blakeslee, Austin Davis, Ronnie Weast, Donnie Weast, Hutch Weast and Chuck Willis.
