Kenneth “Reece” Reaves, 71, of Warren, died on May 6, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired machinist for Potlatch Corporation with 40 plus years of service and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a 1966 graduate of Warren High School where he was the valedictorian of his class.
Mr. Reaves was born on April 8, 1948 in Warren and was the son of the late Virgil L. Reaves and Willie Kemp Reaves.
Also preceding him in death were brothers, Tommie Fred Reaves, Ralph Donald Reaves, James Virgil Reaves and Robert Dale Reaves and sisters, Jeanette Burt, Janice Pike, Betty Harrison, Martha Ruth Reaves, Mary Ann Gotham and Dorothy Nell Reaves.
Survivors are one son, Zane Reaves and wife, Bonnie, of Searcy; a daughter, Kaysi Reaves of Searcy; a sister, Shirl Bunch of Benton; sisters-in-law, Barbara Reaves of Hardy, Wanda Reaves, Wilmar, and Lou Reaves of Wilmar; and a brother-in-law, Law David Gotham of Michigan.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren. Burial is in Wilmar Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, May 9, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
