Kenneth Wayne Haynes, 70, of Star City passed away October 17, 2021 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.

He was born May 31, 1951 in Star City to the late Willie E. and Virgie Lorene Webb Haynes. He was of the Baptist faith and was a Vietnam veteran with the United States Army. He was retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal as a doctorate of chemical and biological defense and was a member of Turtle Creek Hunting Club. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Richie.

Survivors include two sons, Chris (Oreal) Ahrens of Star City and Danny (Brandy) Thomas of Benton; daughter, Stephanie (Timmy) James of Star City; five brothers, Charles (Sarah) Haynes of Griffith Springs, Richard Lee Haynes and Willie Eugene (Jennifer) Haynes, both of Star City, Steve Allen (Joann) Haynes and Randy Paul Haynes, both of Griffith Springs; sister, Patricia Grace Crook of Monticello; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 22, at 11a.m. at Best Cemetery near Star City. Visitation is Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.

Pallbearers are Zach James, Nick James, Hunter Bradford, Chris Williams, Clayton Haynes, and Joseph Garrison. Honorary pallbearer is Chris Haynes.
