Kirby Ronald McElroy, 60, of Selma, Arkansas passed away September 23, 2021.
Kirby was born June 24, 1961, in Dermott. He was the son of Irvin and Betty Lou Beavers McElroy.
Kirby was a good-hearted man who loved his family and devoted his time-off to them. His grandchildren were his world. He was low-keyed and a true friend to those who knew him.
Kirby was an avid outdoorsman and a self-proclaimed “professional” fisherman.
He will be truly missed by all and most especially by his best friend and wife, Becca.
Kirby was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and assistant superintendent at Clearwater for for 39 years.
Survivors are his wife, Rebecca Austin McElroy of Selma; parents, Irvin and Betty McElroy of Watson; two sons, Seth McElroy of Selma and Kane (Catelynn) McElroy of Mount Tabor; three brothers, Dub (Lorri) McElroy of Carbondale, Kansas, Grady (Jodi) McElroy of Watson and Kevin McElroy of Topeka, Kansas; one sister, LaJuan Scales of Lake Village, and four grandchildren, Jade, Erin, Elliott, and Carson.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 26, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home in Dumas. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, September 27, at 11 a.m. at Jefferson Cemetery in Winchester with Rev. Bill McGinnis officiating.
