Larry Gene McMahan, 76, of Arkansas City passed away April 10, 2022.
He was born in Dumas, on September 18, 1945 and was the son of the late Paul and Nettie McMahan.
His parents; sister, Linda Watson and grandson, Conner, preceded him in death.
Larry was an active member of Arkansas City Baptist Church. He retired from farming and Water and Sewer Supervisor for the City of Arkansas City and was a member of Paschall Hunting Club. He enjoyed cooking and growing a garden, but most of all he was a family man.
Survivors are his loving wife, Gayle McMahan of Arkansas City; two daughters, Kimberly (Steven) Grammar of Dewitt and Jamie (Chris) Smith of McGehee; a brother, Mike McMahan of Kelso; three sisters, Paula Crose of Kelso, Vickie McMahan of McGehee and Sandy Jones of East End; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation and services will be held on Thursday, April 14, at Arkansas City Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. until the service at 2 p.m. Rev. Jason Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Dark Corner Cemetery.
Memorials in memory of Larry may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital or Arkansas City Baptist Church.
