Larry T. Barnett, 80, of Hamburg, died February 14, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Mr. Barnett was a native of Crossett and a resident of Hamburg for most of his life. He was a 1959 graduate of Hamburg High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He retired from the Georgia-Pacific Paper Mill and was a member of the Maplevale Missionary Baptist Church. He was active in the Paint Horse Association and enjoyed raising horses, riding his wagon on trail rides, and visiting with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Ira Sue Fanell Barnett in 2013 and his parents, Lexie and Annie Griswould Barnett.
He is survived by his family, Glen Michael Carter, Chase Carter, Cassi Carter, Amberlyn Carter, Hanli Carter, Ayden Carter and Ronda Carter, Linsey Cessor, Kevin Cessor, Camden Grace Cessor and Carter Cessor all of Hamburg; his sister, Kay Alexander of Sevierville, Tennessee; his nephew, Mark Alexander of North Carolina; his niece, Michelle Case of Tennessee; two great-nephews, two great-nieces and four great-great-nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 22, at Pinewood Memorial Park with Bro. Jerry Carter officiating. Visitation will be Monday, February 22 from 1:45 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are Glen Michael Carter, Chase Carter, Carter Cessor, Ayden Carter, Kevin Cessor, Donnie Miller, Joey Miller, Reuben Rush and Mark Alexander.
