Larry Vernon Carr, 79, of Warren, died on October 23, 2019, at his home.
He was born on February 27, 1940 in Warren and was the son of the late Reece Carr and Martha Lasiter Carr.
Mr. Carr was a retired saw filer for many years, working for Potlatch Lumber Company, Calion Lumber Company, and Anthony Forrest Products. From 1972 until 1976 he was the Moro Bay State Park Superintendent. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Monticello, a Free and Accepted Mason.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded him in death by his first wife, Gloria Jean Chambers.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Dye Carr; daughters, Toni Miller and husband, William of Warren, Tasha Carr of El Dorado, Tammy York and friend Rick Hales, Arkansas City, Paula Carter of Benton; sons, Terry Carter of Sheridan, and Kent Carter of Heber Springs; a sister, Reecia McGaha and husband, John of McGehee.
Funeral services will be held on October 25 at 2 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren with Rev. Ray Harrod officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.
