Lawrence Newton Kinney, 51, of Crossett, passed away on January 2, 2015 at the Ashley County Medical Center.
He was a service mechanic and chipper operator at Pioneer Civil Construction. He loved his job and his family.
Mr. Kinney was was born in Pasadena, Texas on February 8, 1963 and was the son of Jackie Kinney and the late Ralph Kinney, Sr.
In addition to his father, he weas preceded in death by his grandparents.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Goldie Denmon Kinney of Crossett; one son, Daniel Woodson and wife Leesa of Eros, Louisiana; two daughters, Emily Doyon and husband Frank of Bastrop, and Victoria Kinney of Crossett; his mother, Jackie Moore and husband Charles of Bastrop; a brother, Buddy Kinney and wife Marty of Crossett; two sisters, Veronica Sturdivant and husband John of Crossett, and Sue Ann Pullin and husband Terry of Bastrop, along with five grandchildren, one special brother in law, and a host of nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.
A funeral service will be held on January 5 at 2 p.m. at Medders Funeral Home Chapel in Crossett with Bro. Buddy Kinney officiating. Burial will be at Stevenson Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are be William Denmon, Roger Middlebrooks, Paul Buffington, Daniel Woodson, Cris Sturdivant and Frank Doyon. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Brooks, Joe Kinney, David Kinney, Nick Nielsen, Aaron Denmon, Scott Sheperd, Steve Sheperd, Mike Sheperd, Gary Kinney, Jimmy Kinney and Rickey Middlebrooks.
A Visitation will be held on January 4 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52W, Crossett, Arkansas.
