LeRoy Alexander, 85, of Lake Village passed away on September 22, 2017 at his home.
He served in the United States Army, was a member and Deacon of Portland Baptist Church in Portland, and a 33rd degree Mason in the Masonic Lodge located in Hamburg. He was always eager to serve the Scottish Rite Temple. He was an outdoor enthusiast who loved to hunt, fish, or just simply enjoy the outdoors.
Mr. Alexander was born on October 3, 1931 to the late Albert B. and Louise Mangrum Alexander in Eudora.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Ray and Charles Crandle Alexander.
Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife of 64 years, Martha Alexander; two daughters, Vickie Lee Cingolani and her husband, John of Lake Village and Mitzi Ann Rice and her husband, Robert of Monticello; two brothers, David Alexander of Lake Village and Donald Alexander of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Christy Cobb, Heather Jammal, Denton Rice, Phillip Cingolani, Neil Rice, and Gino Cingolani; thirteen great-granchildren, and a host of neices, nephews, friends, and extended family who loved him and will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 24, at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Portland Baptist Church on Monday, September 25, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Carl Mason and Bro. David Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Portland Cemetery with services under the direction of Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village.
Pallbearers will be Denton Rice, Drake Rice, Neil Rice, Phillip Cingolani, Gino Cingolani, and Garrett Cobb. The Deacons of Portland Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
