March 12 Update:

The Corps of Engineers, Chicot County and Desha County offices of emergency management along with partnering organizations are engaged in proactive efforts to inspect the levee system during this highly water event. There have been several slides identified and reported to us. These areas, along with the entire levee system, are being monitored daily. At this time there are no concerns with the performance or integrity of the levee system. — Corps of Engineers
