Lewis Dale Orrell, 66, of Monticello passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family and friends, after a hard-fought battle with Leukemia.
He was born Dec. 10, 1953 in Dermott to Jimmy and Sug Orrell.
He was a 1972 Monticello High School graduate. He married his wife of 46 years, Peggie Turpin, on Jan. 5, 1974. Lewis was of the Baptist faith and was ordained as a deacon at Collins Baptist Church, where he also served as the song leader and Sunday school teacher.
