A woman was killed and three people were injured Tuesday night in a two-vehicle accident in Drew County.

Summer Thomas, 24, died after the westbound 2003 Saturn Ion in which she was a passenger failed to yield a stop sign at the intersection of Arkansas 138 and U.S. 65 at Winchester where the car struck the trailer of freightliner traveling south on U.S. 65, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary accident report.

The driver of freightliner, the driver of the Saturn and a minor riding in the Saturn, were all injured and transported to Delta Memorial Hospital, according to the report.

The crash occurred at 10:34 p.m. The weather and road conditions were clear.

At least 353 people have been killed on Arkansas roads so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
