Lois Dickerson Farmer, 81, of Crossett, passed away on August 14, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Farmer was a homemaker and enjoyed working with flowers and decorating. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, was very involved with the Girl’s Auxiliary, was the director of WMU, and as long as she was able, attended the Missionary Parents Support Group.
She was born on January 29, 1933 in Crossett and was the daughter of the late Wiley Britton and Sadie Townsend Lochala.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Rev. Robert “Bob” Dickerson in 1990.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Farmer of Crossett; three sons, Steve Dickerson and wife Mary Ann of Seymour, Mo., David Dickerson and wife Shelia of Crossett, Randell Dickerson and wife Cherrie of West Monroe, La.; two stepsons, Clyde Farmer and wife Debbie of Crossett, Lloyd Farmer and wife Betty of Johannesburg, South Africa; one stepdaughter, Joyce Kelley and husband Phillip of Crossett; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held August 16 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Bros. Eric Hodge and David Tohlen officiating. Burial will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
Visitation will be held August 16 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Active pallbearers will be Colby Dickerson, Caleb Dickerson, Brady Dickerson, Brian Farmer, Lane Kelley and Jerry Ozment.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Farmer’s Sunday School Class.
