Lois Jean Lochala Lee

Lois Jean Lochala Lee, 85, of Crossett, passed away on May 29, 2019, at the Somerset Senior Living in Crossett.

She was born on Nov 5, 1933, to her parents, William and Jennie Ready Lochala.

Lois was a 1951 graduate of Crossett High School, a faithful member of Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church and the Crossroads Ladies Good Neighbors Club. She worked for 25 years at Georgia Pacific in the Plywood Mill, where she retired as a tool room clerk in 1994.

Lois Jean was a sweet talker who was full of fun and laughter. She had a “larger than life” personality and as a child was the apple of her Daddy’s eye. She was also a fantastic cook and enjoyed cooking breakfast for her husband and his fox-hunting buddies, which included her well known cat head biscuits. She loved decorating, going dancing, playing Canasta with her friends and going on road trips with her best friend, John Floyd.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Travis Young Lee; one son, Larry Mac Lee; two brothers, Billy and Bobby Lochala and one special friend, John Floyd.

She is survived by two daughters, Janiece Bracy, Jennifer Walker and husband, Donny; and one son, Malcolm Lee all of Crossett; nine grandchildren, Melanie, Andy, Amanda, Shannon, Jacob, Ashley, Dustin, Sunni, and Evan; nine great-grandchildren, Elijah, Ty, Cade, Parker, Owen, Caleb, Brody, Jace, and Spencer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church in Crossett with Bro. Lloyd Gibbs officiating. Interment will be at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Andy Rice, Josh Martin, Dustin Walker, Elijah Bracy, Ty Cobb, Cade Cobb, and Jacob Lee. Honorary pallbearers are Morris Herrington, Jason Roberts, Scott Parker, Caleb Martin, Evan Lee, Parker Rice, Brody Martin, and Owen Rice.

Visitation will be Friday, May 31 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the children and youth programs of Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church.
