Lon Boone Hogan of Crossett passed away on February 5, 2020. He was 85.
Mr. Hogan was born on November 15, 1934 in Jones, Louisiana to Julian Evan Hogan and Florence Boone Hogan. He was a member of Meridian Baptist Church and served over six years in the U.S. Army Reserves. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, constructing items with metal and woodworking.
Mr. Hogam is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Elizabeth Hogan; two sons, David Alan Hogan (Windy) of Vassar, Kansas and Charles Evan Hogan of Crossett; one daughter, Betty Carolyn Cheetham (Samuel) of Herriman, Utah; one brother, Allen Crawford Hogan, five grandchildren, Katie Hogan, Mary Hogan, Lindsey Cheetham, Zachary Hogan and Carson Cheetham along with a host of friends and loved ones.
Two visitations will be held. The first visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home. The second visitation will be held on Monday, February 10 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Meridian Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 10 at 2 p.m. at Meridian Baptist Church in Crossett with Bro. Garry Massey and Bro. Josh Croswell officiating.
Pallbearers are Ricky Boone, Bryan Cobb, Fred Wayne Hogan, Brian Martin, Roger Williams and Henry Matthews. Burial will be at Pinewood Memorial Park.
