Lou Cogbill, Jr. 78, of Star City, died on June 4, 2015 at Gardner Nursing Home in Star City.

He was a retired electrician, truck driver, U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, and a Baptist.

Mr. Cogbill was born on October 7, 1937 in Lincoln County and was the son of the late, Lou and Bertie Hunter Cogbill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kelly McGee.

Survivors include, two sons, Louis (Danya) Cogbill and Gary (Paula) Cogbill of Star City; three daughters, Dr. Brenda (Larry) McGee of Star City, Virginia (Doug) Harris of Dumas, Margaret (Jack) Yancey of Melburn; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be held on June 6 at 10 a.m. at the Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City with Bro. Charlie Hunter officiating. Visitation is June 5 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Leek Cemetery.
