Louise Bishop Dennington, 103, of Dermott, died on Wednesday, December 28, 2016.
She was a lifelong resident of Dermott, a substitute teacher for Dermott schools for many years and wrote personal columns for the Dermott News. She was a member of Dermott United Methodist and she loved to sew, crochet and knit.
Mrs. Dennington was born on September 22, 1913 to the late Charles J. and Nora Neal Bishop.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Marvin Dennington; siblings, Charles, Robert, Bill, Mary Nell, Paul, Mildred, Martha, Evelyn and James; step-grandson, Anthony Wade Tabor; grandson-in-law Gary Michael Anderson.
Survivors include her son, Cecil H. Dennington, Sr. and his wife Kathryn of Collins, AR; daughters, Christine Lincoln of Dermott and Irene Wooten and her husband Richard of Marvell; grandchildren, Andrea Lincoln Anderson, Alice Louise Wooten Hallman and Cecil Herbert Dennington, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Hailee Ann Hallman and Ella Kathryn Dennington; step-grandchildren, Carla Kirk, Lana Neumeir and Stephanie Coke.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. December 31, 2016 at Dermott United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Rev. Andy Connard officiating. Burial will be at Dermott Cemetery.
