Louise Hicks, 93, of Lake Village died on July 2, 2017 at Southern Heritage Health and Rehabilitation in McGehee.
She was born on June 26, 1924 in Athens, Alabama and was the daughter of the late George Usery and the late Alma Usery.
Mrs. Hicks was a homemaker and a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Lake Village.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John Wiley Hicks; five brothers, six sisters and two grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Howard Jr. Gilbert and wife, Nan of Rosedale, Mississippi; a daughter, Bobbie Sue Lampkin of McGehee; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6 from noon until 1 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Bro. Phillip Payne will officiate. A private burial will be at the Lake Village City Cemetery.
