Louise Jones Grubbs, 99, of Monticello, passed away May 2, 2014 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello.
She was the widow of Rodney Grubbs, a housewife and a member of the Lacey United Methodist Church. Mrs. Grubbs loved her family and working in her yard. She was also very active in her church, her community and the local 4H Club.
Mrs. Grubbs was born April 2, 1915 in Drew County and was the daughter of the late Lee Jones and Mina McClain Jones.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Carol Jones and five sisters, Irma Lee Snodgrass, Callie Johnson, Ruby Bailey, Merle Billingsley and Hazel Jones.
Survivors include two daughters, Mignon Causey and husband Macon of Lacey and Marilyn James of Little Rock; one brother, Willis Jones and wife Bitty of Lacey; four grandchildren, Beth Langdon and husband Doug, Carol Sawyer and husband Dennis, Tara Kolb and Wayne Sullivan, III; three great-grandchildren, Sydney Gibson, Raven Hill and Nichole Sawyer; and three great-great-grandchildren, Ava and Kyra Hargis and Kaleb Hewitt.
Visitation is May 4 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Stephenson Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello. Funeral services will be held May 5 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lacey Cemetery on Lacey New Hope Road in Drew County
