Loyce Eugene Sullivan, 82, of Warren, died on August 15, 2015 at John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado.

He was a successful building contractor at Simmons and Sons Construction where he was a partner in the family business. He constructed many banks, churches, schools, and other structures throughout South Arkansas.

Mr. Sullivan was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Warren. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was enjoyed great success as a golfer winning approximately 138 championship flights in golf tournaments with his partner Monroe Mitchell. He also had 13 holes-in-one. He also enjoyed spending time at the deer camp (Camp 13 Hunting Club), where he will be missed.

He served in the Arkansas National Guard retired with 20 years of service having obtained the rank of Captain and Company Commander.

Mr. Sullivan was born January 30, 1933, at Ward, Arkansas and was the son of the late Earnest and Lena Sullivan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leon, Norman and Troy.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janice Virginia Simmons Sullivan; three sons Tony (Phyllis) Sullivan of Bryant, Doug (Gena) Sullivan of Warren, Bruce (Mitzy) Sullivan of Warren; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on August 18 at 2 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren with Bros. Jim Bales and Matt Overall officiating.

Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Warren.

Pallbearers are his grandsons, Trent Sullivan, Cody Sullivan, Spencer Sullivan; granddaughter Skye Sullivan Clanton and spouse Randy, Jr.; and friends Gary Thornton and Monroe Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers are his members of his Sunday School Class, Camp 13 members and Dr. Kerry Pennington.
