Loyd Albert Gray, 99, of Lake Village, passed away on October 10, 2015.
Mr. Gray was a U.S. Army Veteran, farmer and worked at Sunflower Grocery Store in Dermott. He was a member of Bellaire Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and song leader for many years.
Mr. Gray loved gardening, loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor.
he was born on April 29, 1916 at Greenbrier and was the son of the late Albert Levi and Dura Johnson Gray.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marie Griswood Gray; a son, Lowell Gray; and a sister, Doris Gray McDaniel.
Survivors include his brother, Darrell Gray and his wife, Joyce of Monticello, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on October 14 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Bellaire Baptist Church in Dermott.
Funeral services will be held on October 14 at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating. Burial will be at Dermott Cemetery in Dermott.
