Lyman B. Pierce, 78, of Crossett, passed away on September 27, 2014.
He was a member of First Church of God.
Mr. Pierce never met a stranger and always had a smile and a very caring heart. He was born on September 22, 1936 in Dearborn, Michigan and was the song of the late Vernon Hall and Alberta Gertrude Holbert Pierce.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Pierce; his mother-in-law, Rosa Burleson and his sister-in-law, Nancy Burleson.
Survivors include his daughter, Elaine Pierce Allen of Crossett; two sisters, Joan Rebecca Thoms (Don) of St. Genevieve County, Missouri, and Mina Marie Pierce of Chiefland, Florida; his grandson, Joe Allen (Kelly) of Crossett; four great-grandchildren, Draylon Smith, Tyler Smith, Amberlyn Allen and Hanli Allen and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held September 30 at 10 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Crossett with Bro. Randy Ivy officiating. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held September 29 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
