A man suspected in the November 25 shooting death of University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff basketball player and ROTC cadet was arrested Friday afternoon, according to State Police.
U.S. Marshals arrested 41-year-old Octavius Easterling in North Little Rock. He is suspected of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Sierra’Li Nicole Wade. In addition to first-degree murder, Easterling likely will be charged with first-degree battery.
Wade was playing basketball at a Lake Village park with her brother on November 25 around 6 p.m. when she was fatally shot.
