A Monticello man was arrested Sunday in connection with a knife attack on another man.
Sunday night, around 9 p.m., the Drew County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call to the Lacey area where deputies found a group of people, one with a knife wound to his jaw, according to a news release from the Drew County Sheriff’s Office.
Clifton James Jolley, 25, of Drew County, approached a vehicle where Caleb Aaron Hall, 29, of Monticello, allegedly drew a knife and cut Jolley’s jaw. Jolley was transported to Drew Memorial Hospital where he was treated.
Hall is suspected of aggravated assault and second-degree battery. At a first appearance hearing on Monday before Circuit Judge Bynum Gibson, Hall’s bond was set at $1,000.
Sheriff Mark Gober said the investigation is ongoing.
