A Monticello man was sentenced Monday to 40 years in prison for the June 2012 robbery of the First National Bank in McGehee.
Glen D. Perrian, 25, pleaded guilty in Desha County to aggravated robbery and theft of property. He was sentenced to 30 years for the aggravated robbery and 10 years for theft of property. The two sentences will run consecutive.
Perrian also pleaded guilty to third-degree escape and failure to appear in connection with his May 6, 2013 escape from the Desha County Courthouse in Arkansas City. He was sentenced to 10 years on each on those two counts. The two 10-year sentences will run concurrent with the aggravated robbery sentence.
He received an additional 10-year sentence in a SIS (suspended imposition of sentence) revocation in Desha County. That sentence will also to run concurrent with the aggravated robbery.
Finally, in a Drew County probation revocation, Perrian received yet another 10-year sentence. That sentence will run concurrent with the aggravated robbery sentence.
Perrian will not be eligible for parole until he serves 70 percent of the aggravated robbery sentence.
