Margie Elizabeth McDougald Bryant, 92, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Crossett, passed away on November 12, 2019.
She was born on August 9, 1927 to the late Ernest T. and Mamie Walker McDougald.
Mrs. Bryant was a former member of Pine Street Church of Christ in Crossett where she loved to sing and taught Sunday School. She worked many years as a secretary at Georgia Pacific. She began working there in personnel then worked in the executive office. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and knitting, and was very gifted in sketching portraits.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Richard, Vernon and Winfred McDougald.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 71 years, Norman Bryant of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; a son, Kevin Bryant (Marty) of Baton Rouge; ane sister, Lois McDougald Rorex of Williamsburg, Virginia; two grandchildren, Trent Bryant (Lindsey) of Biloxi, Mississippi and Crystal Bryant Coulter (Kevin) of Bentonville; five great grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 10 a.m. at Pine Street Church of Christ in Crossett, with Bro. Jerry Martin officiating. Interment will be at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation is Friday, November 15 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home.
