Marie Gray, 85, of Hamburg, died on July 8, 2016 at her residence.
She was a native of Monticello, a resident of Hamburg for the past 30 years and a former resident of Crossett for many years.
Mrs. Gray worked for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation Plywood Mill for 25 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Trinity Free Will Baptist Church. She faithfully read her Bible having read her Bible many times. She loved everyone and loved helping those in need. She enjoyed working in her yard and spending time outside.
Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Bradford Gray; a granddaughter, Melinda Ferguson; her parents, Abraham Green and Willie Holecraft Elton; a brother, Fagan Elton and two sisters, Flora Walker and Lela Holland.
She is survived by a son, Phillip Gray of Hamburg; a daughter, Jocelyn Wykoff of Hamburg; a sister, Daphine Martin of Camden; two brothers, Frances Elton of Little Rock and Bud Elton of Medford, Oregon; six grandchildren, Bobby Kelley, Robin Kelley, Brad Gray, Tara Thomas, Jessica Brewbaker and Chad Gray and nine great-grandchildren, Breanna Kelley, Brittany Kelley, Addison Gray, Cody Ferguson, Megan Ferguson, Isaiah Thomas, Tyler Kelley, Hunter Kelley and David Wykoff III.
Visitation is July 12 from 6-8 p.m. at Jones- Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.
Funeral services will be held on July 13 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church with Dr. Shawn Williams officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Brad Gray, Chad Gray, Bobby Kelley, Dave Wykoff, Eddie Black and Harold Roberts. Honorary pallbearer is Robin Kelley.
