A vegetable garden workshop will be held on Saturday, March 3 from 8:30 a.m. until noon at the University of Arkansas at Monticello Department of Agriculture.
The Market in the Park Farmer’s Market in Monticello, University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, University of Arkansas Department at of Agriculture and Monticello-Drew County Chamber of Commerce are collaborating to present the workshop to take the mystery out of home gardening, inspire, and encourage more home gardeners. The workshop is free to participants.
Local Farmer’s Market vendors, Master Gardeners, and UAM Agriculture Department faculty will present four major topics: Basics of Gardening, Types of Gardens, What to Grow, and Common Mistakes and Problems. Tips, practical guidance and resources for each of the four areas will be provided.
