Martha Ann Floyd Ratterree, 79, of Star City passed away December 30, 2020 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello.
Ann was born September 19, 1941 to the late Carl and Maysel Johnston Floyd of Rowell. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Curtis and Mildred Butler Ratterree of Star City.
Ann was a graduate of Woodlawn High School and Capital City Business College in Pine Bluff. She retired as Lincoln County Judge and was an administrative assistant to county judges Rita Shepherd, Boyce Fletcher and J.T. Moncrief.
Prior to the judge’s office she had worked for Frizzell’s, Inc. with Nelson, Bill and Marian Frizzell for approximately 19 years as a bookkeeper. Ann and her husband opened, owned and operated Ratterree Pawn & Surplus for 15 years. She and her sister, Evelyn, opened, owned and operated Ann & Evelyn’s Flea Market and she worked there until she retired.
Ann had been a Baptist since she was 11 years old and loved her Lord and Savior very much. Ann was a dedicated wife and mother.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jerry Wayne Ratterree. Ann and Jerry married on June 16, 1961.
Also preceding Ann in death were a God-child, Angela Marie Ratterree; three brothers-in-law, Bill Ratterree, Larry Goggans and Bobby Patrick; a sister-in-law, Patricia Quickel; and three nephews, Mike Ratterree, Danny Anderson and Jase Andrew Scott.
Ann is survived by one daughter, Shelley (Todd) Owen; two sons, Jeffrey (Kelli) Ratterree and Joey (Rhonda) Ratterree; two precious grandchildren, Lauren Owen (Drue) Harvey and Dakota Ratterree; and a great-grandchild, Christian Mac Harvey, all of Star City. Also surviving Ann are three sisters, Evelyn Goggans and Joyce Floyd, both of Star City and Barbara (Bill) Patrick of Rowell; four sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Jimmy) Anderson, Martha (Harold) McEntire and Glenda Patrick, all of Star City. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral arrangements are pending at this time.
The family will be at the home of Joey and Rhonda Ratterree at 534 Jenny Lane, Star City.
Honorary pallbearers are Clay Patrick, David Luker, Kevin McEntire, Tracy Scott, Steve Anderson, Jeff Frizzell, Mike Baker, Turner Roark, Grady Story, Jason Ross and Chuck Ferrell.
