Mary Catherine Woodiel of Flippin, formerly of Mountain Home and Monticello, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at her home. She was 27.
A pharmacy technician for Fred’s Pharmacy, Mary Catherine was a bright, compassionate young woman who rescued neglected and abandoned animals. She loved growing flowers, feeding birds, and spending time outdoors, especially on the Buffalo River with her sister, Julia Ann; her fiance, Jake; and her dog, Tucker.
Mary Catherine was born on June 5, 1987 in Monticello and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Flippin.
She is survived by her parents, Shon Woodiel of Little Rock and Kimberly and Carry Manuel of Mountain Home; her sisters, Julia Ann Woodiel and Londyn Manuel of Mountain Home; her brother, Tristin Manuel of Mountain Home; her fiance, Jake Layton of Flippin; her dog, Tucker; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11 at 1 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Flippin with Bro. Danny Hutcherson officiating. Burial will follow at Douglas Cemetery in Mountain Home.
Public visitation will be at noon prior to the funeral.
