Mary Elois Peacock Nave “Aunt Lois”, 105, of Monticello, died July 16, 2021, at Drew Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
She was born September 26, 1915, in Florence, Arkansas to the late Alice Lorean Martin and Morris Fletcher Peacock.
She was a member of the Second Baptist Church. Besides her love for her late husband, Cooper, and her siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends, her yard and flowers where her passion.
In addition to parents and husband, she was proceeded in death by a sister-in-law, Phyllis Hogue, whom she raised as a daughter; siblings, Lillie May Fortner, Hardy Peacock, Tom Peacock, Annie Hoover, Neal Peacock, Sally Fortner, Dick Peacock, Morris Leslie Peacock, Gladys Locke, Lucille “Sissy” Wolfe, Jack Peacock, and Melvin Peacock.
Survivors include a brother-in-law, Jake Nave, Jr., whom she raised as a son, and an abundance of nieces and nephews, whom at one time or another, she had a hand in helping in some meaningful and caring way.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 19, at Mt. Tabor Methodist Church on Hwy 138, with burial in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Bro Ray Hearron will officiate. Visitation with COVID restrictions will be held inside the church after the graveside services.
