Mary Jane Holley Hunter Ashcraft, 81, of Rye, passed away on July 24, 2015 at Bradley County Medical Center in Warren.
She worked at Burlington Industries in Monticello for more than 13 years and the Human Development Center in Warren where she retired after more than 18 years of service and received the agency’s Arkansas Employee of the Year in 1997. She also worked at the Cleveland County Health Dept. for six years.
Mrs. Ashcraft was a member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church in Rye since 1954.
She was born in Bradley County on February 4, 1934 and was the daughter of the late James Hillard Holley and Minnie May Newman Holley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Delorice Nation; two brothers, Delbert and Jimmy Joe Holley; and two sisters, Lois Larene Calvert and Wilma Arline Rippy.
Survivors include her husband, Everett Glen Ashcraft from Rye; one son, Scotty Daniel Ashcraft of Rye; two brothers, Billy Ray Holley of Thackerville, Oklahoma and Sam Bob Holley of Rye; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on July 27 at 2 p.m. at Enon Missionary Baptist Church in Rye. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Rye. Visitation is July 26 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello.
